In 2008 the Township of Muskoka Lakes and the District Municipality of Muskoka passed resolutions requiring the proponent to have all approvals necessary and that a Heritage Impact Assessment be completed for all affected lands before considering making any municipal land available to the proponent.
Also, in 2005 the proponent was selected through a competitive process. The proponent’s proposal made commitments which the proponent intends to not honour.
